What we think (2026)

New Report: ‘Reputation, Risk And Resilience

Assuming Agency and Achieving Balance in the Age of Angst and Rage

In the 2026 edition of ‘Reputation, Risk and Resilience: where are we now and what happens next?’, we have summarised and analysed 12 major global reports – nearly 900 pages of source material – on those interlocking topics from the past 12 months.

You will find an overview of the report HERE. To download a copy of the report itself broken down into three bite sized documents, just complete the contact form.

The full report contains a ‘TL;DR’ summary and overview for each publication covered – as well as ten overall key themes and ten practical questions leaders should address.

I have maintained the ‘Expert Commentary’ section, from 20+ ‘big beasts’ in PR and communication – alongside the ‘Letter to the CEO and Chair’ and a one-stop ‘digest’ of the TL;DR summaries – while adding a new, heartfelt ‘Letter to the Reader’.

At the report’s core sits the overarching theme and provocative framework of ‘Assuming Agency and Achieving Balance in the Age of Angst and Rage’ – offered as a new and highly practical way of thinking about issues, risk and crisis communication.

We are delighted to be delivering this year’s report in collaboration with Ipsos in the UK  (Gold Sponsor), Roxhill Media (Silver Sponsor) and PRovoke Media (Media Partner), together with AMEC, CIPR, EACD and ICCO (Industry Partners).

I will again be running  tailored primer sessions to help individual organisations assess the practical implications of this report for them and deeper-dive, half- or full-day group workshops, exploring the application of the report’s findings.

Please get in touch with Rod to discuss how those sessions will add value to your teams, your clients or your broader community.

The full 2023 Edition is still available to read HERE, the 2024 Edition HERE and the 2025 Report HERE.
